We are moving closer and closer to an amazing future, as an Australian woman received a bionic implant that restored some partial sight lost to a degenerative condition. The operation was performed at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, and the implant was switched on a month after being put in (is installed an acceptable term in this case?) to make sure that it wasn't going to cause any health complications.
